Welcome to St Michael's Church Website
Welcome to St Michael’s Church, Flixton. We believe that worship is our primary purpose before God, and all else in our Christian life should flow from that. Christians have worshipped on this site for at least 900 years making this one of the ancient parishes of Manchester Diocese. Today, the church of St Michael’s continues to be a haven of stability with a refreshingly optimistic outlook and a passion for worship, mission and learning. We pray that at this time, and in this place, we can be as a light set upon a hill, for the benefit of the wider community and for the glory and praise of God. We hope you will be able to join us...
St Michael''s Church is located on Church Road in the town of Flixton, Manchester. We are a good sized Church of England congregation, supporting St Michael''s Primary School, welcoming the attendance of families and elderly people at a range of services and activities in both the main Church building and Church Croft. Visit the Celebrations page for information on Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals.
Our mission is very simple: Love God, Share faith, Serve all. And here’s to another 900 years!
Do you think that anyone can live for just £1 per day (yes, £5 per WEEK!)?
Could they raise a smile while doing it? Can it be done without violent mood swings? Will anyone seen eating food in public be safe from their wrath? Well, we're going to find out for Christian Aid Week because Jenny Beaumont is giving it a go and you can follow her blog on http://www.linedining.blogspot.co.uk/.
Jenny would like to raise £100 doing this and if you would like to donate then please visit www.livebelowtheline.com/me/jennibeaumont.
Please support Jenny and Christian Aid Week by visiting these sites and being nice to her while she undergoes this...be very nice...and don't eat in front of her...
